Our Mission
The mission of the Batavia Lions club is to be a service leader in our community, and to support the national and global efforts of Lions Clubs International of which we are a part. While our primary services are directed at assistance to the visually and hearing hearing impaired, we also partner with many local agencies to provide community service of multiple varieties!
Assisting at the Batavia Park District Annual Easter Egg Hunt
“For so many, the Lions provide opportunities that simply wouldn’t exist without them”
Creating a terrifically fun event to assist the United Way of Batavia. The Club’s Annual “Underwear Party’ is just one of the many ways we live up to the Lion’s Club motto “ We Serve”!
Having fun While doing Great Things!

Our Local Services

Hearing
We provide help for hearing deficits in people over the age of 18. Batavia Lions have access to reduced cost hearing exams and hearing aids. We will consider other needed services.
Community Assistance
We work wth various community partners to assist with other needs, including providing pancakes for the Valley Sheltered Workshop, hosting an event to support Christmas Giving with the Batavia United Way, pariticipate in Chamber events, provide scholarships to Batavia students, partner with the North Aurora Lions Club to proivde crocheted hats and blankets for children with cancer undergoing chemotherapy, and other activities as we are asked.
Recycling
Several times each year we take glasses and hearing aids to the Lions Of Illinois Foundation office in Dekalb to be recycled. There are collection boxes located around town at the Library, the Park District, banks, churches, and eye doctors. The recycled glasses are distributed around the world, while the hearing aids are refurbished and provided through our Clubs to local residents in need. We are also recycling plastic, grocery bags and other other “stretchy plastic” and will collect keys, key fobs, and sneakers, https://lionsofillinoisfoundation.org/
